The Clarity Fuel Cell carries a price premium for its advanced technology, but for those who want to get on the alternative fuel train, the Honda eschews many of the compromises made by other zero-emissions vehicles. With an MSRP of around $58,500, the Clarity prices itself above the Prius, but well below the Tesla Model S. Like the Teslas, but unlike the Prius or Insight, the Clarity Fuel Cell is a true zero-emissions vehicle, meaning it really doesn't burn any petroleum. And unlike purely electric vehicles, the Clarity's hydrogen fuel source means refueling is as easy as a stop at a gas station.
